What do you call your mask?

Have you ever wondered what exactly we are covering with the mask since the covid-19 virus hit the world?
Seeing people wear the mask in different form and styles keeps me asking myself every time, if it is actually a Nose mask, Face mask or a Chin mask?
We find a lot of people in Africa pulling down the mask to speak when actually, what we are avoiding is the fluid from either our mouth or nose.
You want to ask, what exactly are we wearing the mask for?
I can agree how discomforting the mask can be and in most cases, you are barely audible when speaking to someone, so in reflex, we take off the mask to speak in order for the other party to hear us clearly.
But in actual sense, the mask should be used to cover the mouth so saliva doesn’t splash out to reach the other person.
And also, cover the nose in case of sneezing, so catarrh and some fluids don’t fly out on another person.
But as for the face shield, what exactly are we covering? Maybe tears.😅
Take it or leave it, we just have a way of doing things our own way in Africa.
Wise or Foolish? That’s a rhetorical question. Because in this case, it is our comfort that seem to matter to us the most.
I have heard a few people complain of how they can barely breathe whilst wearing the mask, that’s why they pull it down to their chin.
I can’t even blame such people. Why die in the process of dodging a deadly virus?
Sense or Nonsense? You should answer this one.😂
Since I don’t want to selfish with my thoughts, I have decided to put out this question.

Is it a Nose mask, Chin mask or a Face mask?
